Compliance Manager Location: South East - Essex Sector: Mechanical & Electrical Construction Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent - part-time considered Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Company Our client is a growing mechanical and electrical contractor delivering projects across healthcare, education, commercial and public-sector frameworks. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to take ownership of compliance, health and safety, and quality systems across the organisation. Role Overview The Compliance Manager will act as the central point of control for all compliance-related activity within the business.The role will involve managing company accreditations, health and safety compliance, staff certification and training, and leading the business through ISO 9001 accreditation. You will work closely with the Directors to strengthen internal systems and support continued business growth. Key Responsibilities Manage company accreditations and renewals, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor Ensure compliance standards are maintained across the business Oversee health and safety compliance across office and site operations Support with RAMS, certification checks and incident reporting Maintain the company training matrix Track staff qualifications, expiry dates and renewals Coordinate training with external providers Lead the implementation and achievement of ISO 9001 Develop and maintain the company Quality Management System Prepare the business for internal and external audits Identify compliance and process gaps Recommend practical improvements to support framework and public-sector requirementsRequirements Proven experience in a Compliance, Health & Safety or Quality role within construction or M&E Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation Good understanding of construction accreditation schemes Experience delivering or managing ISO 9001 Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confident communicating with senior management, auditors and external bodies Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approachWhat’s on Offer Key compliance role within a growing business Direct access to company Directors Opportunity to influence business systems and processes Competitive salary, dependent on experience Long-term opportunity to grow with the company Supportive and professional working environment#INDPERM
