Your role will be varied and involve:
- Unpacking and inspecting condition of goods.
- Checking quantities, part numbers and description are correct to purchase order.
- Completion of Goods Received Notes (GRN’s).
- Recording GRN entries in a manual log book.
- Ensuring that goods are stored temporarily in a defined location.
- Manually updating part location record cards where required.
- Passing a copy of the GRN to the intended recipient in a timely manner.
- Use of modular paternoster to store and pick goods.
- Selecting parts listed on dispatch notes from defined store locations accordingly, including the mechanical vertical lift.
- Recording item serial numbers where required.
- Packing parts for safe transit, both for domestic and export orders.
- Computer despatching of goods on the DX Freight online system.
- To record and file all stores records as required.
- To assist or operate the fork lift as required.
- Assist with warehouse tasks.
Person Specification:
