Warehouse Logistics Operative Main Purpose To support the efficient operation of the warehouse by managing goods inwards and outwards, maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, and supporting production and logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, store and dispatch goods accurately and efficiently.
Maintain stock accuracy using the ERP system and carry out regular stock checks.
Complete warehouse documentation, including delivery notes, packing lists and shipping paperwork.
Pack goods for domestic and international shipment, including hazardous goods where trained.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and MEWPs, where authorised.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and company procedures.
Assist with inventory control, warranty records and consumables ordering.
Support facilities tasks, housekeeping and general warehouse maintenance.
Provide cover for warehouse colleagues and supervise staff in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor where required.
Work collaboratively with production, logistics and other departments to meet operational requirements.
Skills Experience Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
Forklift licence (preferred or essential, depending on role requirements).
Good IT skills and experience using stock control or ERP systems.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Physically capable of manual handling duties.
