Due to continued growth, our client is looking to add an experienced National Accounts Manager to their highly successful team. * Head office based in Birmingham * £45,000 – £50,000 basic salary (DOE) + bonus * Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm Benefits: * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Pension * Excellent career opportunities * Training provided * Onsite parking Job Description: * Working with the Commercial and Account management team to target potential customers in sectors such as power generation, rail, renewable energy builds and other growth areas. * Working with our manufacturing suppliers to also target key customers/sectors. * Making regular visits to their Midlands and Chessington offices to gain a full understanding of the business and to get to know the various individuals of a relatively small, but close team. * Establishing relationships with customers. * Carry out product familiarisation training with key manufacturer suppliers. * Use market intelligence tools such as Glenigan/Barbour ABI to identify relevant opportunities. * Negotiate and win project orders. * Presenting to customers. * Involvement with DNO framework, contracts and opportunities. * Assist the marketing team with blog and social media material. Person Specification: * Confident relationship builder, networker and communicator. * Strong negotiation skills. * Financial Acumen. * Self-motivated (they do not micromanage and expect people in their teams to jointly set their own clear objectives and deliver). * Understanding of the UK Construction sector and the various sub-sectors within it. * Knowledge of the key M&E contractors in the UK and the type of work that they carry out. * Ability to learn and understand technical matters in electrical installation. * IT literate. Desirable Skills: * Confidence using the Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Understanding of Low/Medium/High Voltage power cables and their applications. * Familiarity with Low/Medium voltage cable accessories and tooling – although training will be provided. * Electrical installation knowledge.
