Role Overview:
The HR Advisor plays a key role in creating an employee experience that is empowering, connected, and aligned with organisational values. Acting as a trusted partner to managers and employees, the HR Advisor ensures that people practices reflect the organisationโs commitment to being impactful, collaborative, innovative, authentic, and deeply focused on quality and customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process in partnership with external recruitment and screening providers. Ensure a smooth, engaging, and compliant candidate and new starter experience.
- People Success Framework: Manage the full employee lifecycle, delivering operational HR activities across the organisation. Ensure HR processes are consistently applied and aligned with best practice.
- Training and Development: Manage training provision across the organisation. Work closely with line managers and department heads to identify skills gaps and development needs. Source and coordinate training solutions as required.
- Employee Relations: Manage end-to-end employee relations casework, including grievances, disciplinary matters, and other statutory processes. Provide accurate, up-to-date advice across all areas of employment law. Ensure fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
- Employee Engagement: Support the organisation in translating values into everyday behaviours. Contribute to initiatives that promote, embed, and communicate organisational culture and values.
Skills & Experience:
- Professional Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes, employment law, and HR best practice. Proven experience managing end-to-end employee relations casework.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
- Personal Effectiveness: Excellent organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Strong judgement, balancing logic-based decision-making with empathy where appropriate. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and integrity. High level of accuracy and precision in documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
- Previous experience operating at HR Advisor level in a similar role.
- Experience using an HR Information System (HRIS).
