About the Company
Our client is an established sheet metal manufacturer based in Leicester. They manufacture a wide range of sheet metal products and offer services including laser cutting, punching, folding, fabrication and powder coating. They produce everything in-house, supplying customers in the retail, industrial and merchandising sectors.
About the Role
They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Programmer to join an expanding Programming Department. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying and nesting sheet metal components using CAD software to support efficient laser cutting and fabrication processes. Working closely with production and customers, you will ensure programmes are accurate, cost-effective and suitable for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer drawings and specifications accurately and efficiently.
- Create, modify and nest sheet metal parts using CAD software such as BySoft, Radan or Lantek.
- Convert 2D and 3D CAD models, hand sketches and customer samples into programmes.
