Exhibition Sales Executive

Our client is looking for a creative, passionate, and driven person to join their sales team and help expand a growing portfolio of international business events.

They require a candidate who thrives on developing new business opportunities across multiple different sectors and is comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers.

  • Basic salary, £35,000 negotiable depending on experience
  • OTE £70,000 YEAR 1 – future earnings likely be in the region of £(phone number removed)+ and beyond; uncapped competitive commission package paid monthly + bonuses.

Job Description

  • Working on a number of international B2B exhibitions
  • Building and managing a constantly developing list of relevant leads of potential exhibiting companies increasing revenue through selling exhibition space and sponsorship
  • Driving a consistent weekly sales campaign, working toward the annual event sales target.
  • Managing and updating company CRM system
  • Introducing and pitching the exhibition to senior decision-makers from SMEs to global corporations through cold calling, as well as to warm existing clients
  • Managing new and existing exhibitors to help them achieve maximum ROI from events.
  • Working with internal teams including marketing and operations for the collective delivery of a successful event

Person Specification

  • Sales experience either B2B or B2C
  • Professional, motivated and driven personality traits
  • Entrepreneurial, driven, extremely persuasive, and a people person who is sensitive to cultural differences, having strong communication (written, verbal, email) and team-working skills.
  • Self-motivated and incredibly well organized, having both the initiative and the ability to work independently and manage their own workload.
  • Resilient and comfortable talking with senior decision-makers, company CEOs and Presidents, being adaptable and flexible enough to utilize multiple sales approaches to close business.
  • Strong MS-based IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) required, and adept in using social media (such as Linked In and Xing) to connect with relevant prospects.
