We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for commercial buildings, undertaking site surveys, and advising on energy efficiency improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to develop their career in a forward-thinking consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Level 3 and 4 non-domestic energy assessments and produce EPCs in line with current regulations
- Visit commercial sites to gather data and carry out property surveys
- Provide tailored advice on energy efficiency improvements and regulatory compliance
- Ensure accurate, high-quality reporting delivered on time
- Keep up to date with changes in building regulations and accreditation requirements
- Engage professionally with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
Requirements:
- Accredited Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (Level 3 and/or Level 4) with valid membership to an approved accreditation body (e.g. Elmhurst, Stroma, Quidos)
- Proven experience producing non-domestic EPCs to current standards
- Good understanding of Part L Building Regulations, SBEM methodology, and energy performance in commercial buildings
- Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Competence with iSBEM or equivalent EPC software platforms
Desirable:
- DEA/NDEA dual qualification
- Experience working in a sustainability consultancy or client-facing role
- Familiarity with DesignBuilder, IES-VE, or DSM tools (desirable but not essential)
- Experience with environmental accreditations such as BREEAM, SKA, WELL
