We are working with an established and market-leading, independent supply and distribution company who work with Nationwide clients. They are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and manage their warehouse team.
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
- Location: Based in Chessington

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the General Manager and Company Directors
- Responsible for leading and managing a team of circa 30, including two supervisors
- Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
- Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
- Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods
- Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
- Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
- Plan future capacity requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment
- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment
- Where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems
- Ensure the trade counter operation provides the service levels required for customer satisfaction
- Housekeeping; ensuring a clean and tidy working environment is maintained
Person Specification:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Focused on managing, recruitment and training
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment
- 'Hands On' approach
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable using various IT systems
Additional Information:
- Circa £35,000
- Working hours: 08.30 – 6.00 pm Monday – Friday
- 31 Days Holiday including bank holidays and the Christmas shutdown
