This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure to management accounting within a busy finance department. The role would suit someone who is currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA and looking to progress their accounting career.
Salary & Benefits

- Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accounting support within a busy Accounts department
- Work to tight reporting deadlines to support the preparation, presentation, analysis and reconciliation of monthly management accounts
- Assist with annual audit and statutory accounts
- Daily posting of customer bank receipt transactions
- Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Prepare monthly management reports
- Reconcile and distribute the monthly budget turnover report
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts (currently five) in multiple currencies
- Monitor and reconcile Direct Debit payment amounts
- Prepare monthly journals for management accounts
- Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve queries
- Monitor and maintain Fixed Asset Registers (Equipment and Tool Hire)
- Produce weekly debtors reports, including overdue accounts and credit limit status
- Perform weekly gross profit margin analysis and reporting
- Conduct weekly inventory monitoring and reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Prepare annual Sustainability Reporting
- Assist with annual P11D and PAYE PSA reporting
- Support the year-end audit process
- Carry out other accounting and administrative duties as required to support the Finance Department
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a similar role, working to deadlines
- Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA (AAT qualified desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised, motivated and proactive
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
