Optima Plus Recruitment are seeking, on behalf of our client, a Casual Front of House (FOH) Security Steward to join the Theatre Services team in Shropshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established cultural venue, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of patrons while delivering high standards of customer service.
About the Role:
- Provide SIA door supervisor services during performances.
- Deliver a warm and professional welcome to theatre patrons.
- Conduct stewarding duties, housekeeping support, and basic maintenance as required.
- Act as a key holder, managing the building, supporting fire evacuation procedures, and fulfilling event security responsibilities.
- Administer first aid to staff or patrons if needed.
- Support compliance with the Theatre’s Fire, Security, and Emergency Action Plans.
- Assist the Duty Manager in overall building and event management.
- Be the face of the theatre in the main entrance foyer, conducting ticket and bag checks.
- Ensure prompt and safe evacuation post-performance and secure all areas before locking up.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisor Licence.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience in customer service and security roles.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis.
- Confidence in dealing with the public, managing incidents, and supporting emergency procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Shift Dates (Immediate Requirements):
- Friday 16th May: 7:00 pm - 11:30 pm
- Saturday 17th May: 7:00 pm - 11:30 pm
- Saturday 24th May: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
- Tuesday 27th May: 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Wednesday 28th May: 12:30 pm - 10:30 pm
- Thursday 29th May: 12:30 pm - 10:30 pm
- Saturday 31st May: 11:30 am - 10:30 pm
Additional dates may be offered depending on the Theatre's schedule and future events.
Pay Rates:
- PAYE rate: £14.13 per hour
- Umbrella/Ltd rate: £17.79 per hour
- Additional pay for bank holidays, night shifts, and Sunday work.
