Transfer & Disposals Surveyor (Hybrid)

Job Title: Transfer & Disposals Surveyor Location: Dorset – Hybrid (Travel Required) Contract Duration: 3 Months Salary: £300-£400 per day (DOE) IR35 Status: Inside Hours per week: 37 hours, 5 days per week Application Deadline: ASAP Optima Plus Recruitment is seeking a Transfer & Disposals Surveyor on behalf of our client. As a Transfer & Disposals Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing property transfers and disposals, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations. Your role will also include contributing to strategic asset management goals and supporting property reviews. The successful candidate will oversee transactions and ensure that assets are managed effectively. Key Responsibilities * Deliver the transfer and disposal programmes, ensuring compliance with Section 123 of the 1972 Local Government Act. * Contribute to the delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan, ensuring assets are optimally located for effective service delivery. * Conduct asset class reviews and assist in developing strategies. * Undertake options appraisals for community and surplus properties, utilizing feasibility studies and viability analysis. * Develop business cases to deliver financially sustainable property solutions aligned with the council's priorities. * Manage property transfers and disposals in line with the council’s procedures and timelines. * Develop heads of terms and liaise with legal teams for transfers, sales, leases, or collaborative arrangements. Qualifications and Skills: Essential: * Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant field. * Proven experience in estate management, particularly asset transfers and disposals. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities. * Willingness to work from the office 2 days per week.
