We have an exciting opportunity for Live-In Care Workers to join our friendly team here at Optima Homecare in London. Optima Homecare is a local company established over 25 years providing high quality care and support at home for the people in the London Borough of Barnet Area.
As a Live-in Care Worker, you will be supporting your service user in their own home seven days a week to remain as independent as possible. Your duties may include but won’t be limited to:
- Companionship - providing support, communication and engagement
- Personal care - supporting with a wash, bath or shower and supporting the service user with dressing and oral care.
- Meals - supporting the service user with healthy meals, snacks and beverages.
- Domestic tasks - light cleaning tasks, shopping
- Mobility - supporting the service user to live as independently as possible.
- Social activities - trips out, social engagements and activities
It is important to us and to our service user that we welcome people of all backgrounds, cultures, and language abilities. We particularly welcome applications from carers who speak additional languages, as many of our service users benefit greatly from carers who can communicate with them in their native language.
We are looking for experienced, dedicated and caring people with a minimum NVQ/RQF Level 2 in Health and Social Care, providing live in support services to older adults living in their own homes in the following Areas: Barnet EN5 EN4, Whetstone N20, North Finchley N12, East Finchley N12, Friern Barnet N11, Finchley Central N3, Hendon NW4, Golders Green NW11, Colindale NW9, Burnt Oak NW7, Edgware HA8, Mill Hill NW7, Cricklewood NW2.
Care roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check. References will be checked.
