Role Summary

As a Senior Occupational Health Advisor (OHA), you will use your experience and expertise to support the Clinical Performance Manager in delivering excellent clinical services and achieving business objectives. This is a varied role combining case management, health surveillance, and clinic work, alongside line management responsibilities for a multidisciplinary team of three Occupational Health Technicians, an Occupational Health Advisor, a Physiotherapist, and Mental Health Advisors. Working closely with the Clinical Performance Manager, you may also support activities such as clinical audits, medical helpdesks, call listening, and mentoring team members. The role offers plenty of variety, including opportunities to get involved in projects and service development initiatives. Hybrid working is available, with flexibility around working days. As a senior member of the team, you'll lead by example and champion Optima Health's values.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Occupational Health qualification (Diploma/Degree) or currently working towards one.
  • Strong case management skills and experience using a biopsychosocial assessment approach.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an occupational health setting.
  • Experience delivering Occupational Health services across a range of industry sectors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and workload management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Occupational Health management systems.
