Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Role Summary: The Occupational Health Physiotherapist plays a key role in assessing, treating, and supporting employees with musculoskeletal and physical health conditions to promote safe, effective, and sustainable return to work. The post holder will carry out face‑to‑face or virtual initial assessments and produce detailed, objective reports providing clear advice on fitness to work, functional capability, and recommended workplace adjustments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face‑to‑face basis.
  • Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work‑based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
  • Deliver effective evidence‑based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
  • Utilise a bio‑psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:

  • Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
  • Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
  • Minimum of 18 months experience post registration.
  • Post‑graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
  • Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
  • Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
  • Driver licence & access to a vehicle.
