Job Title: Business Psychologist
Location: Home based- travel where required
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (pro rata for part time) + mileage
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time or Full Time (22.5 – 37.5 hours per week) between Monday – Friday 9am 5pm/0830am-1630pm/8am-4pm)

Role Summary:

Due to significant business growth, we are looking for a Business Psychologist with experience working within occupational health to join our nationwide team. You will sit within our MH/MSK division working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be home based with occasional travel to clinics and workplace needs assessments.

As a Business Psychologist, you will be carrying out various neurodiversity assessments and providing our customers with a detailed management report explaining any strengths and challenges in the workplace along with specific recommendations and advice to ensure employees receive the support they require to contribute to a productive and engaged workforce for our customers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To undertake high quality neurodiversity assessments including screening and work place needs assessments.
  • To produce a well written management report with clear and unambiguous advice that details appropriate and effective recommendations / adjustments to the employee, management and HR that are of mutual and sustained benefit
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within occupational health to provide integrated care across all of Optima\’s service provision
  • To manage varied and complex assessments in a timely manner and meet all service KPI\’s
  • To provide effective risk assessment and risk management including safeguarding
  • To make ongoing contributions to service development to ensure Optima continues to meet the needs of its customers
  • To assist in the design and delivery of training within their scope of expertise and take part in CPD both internally and externally

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:

  • Masters in Psychology / Business psychology
  • Membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS), Association of Business Psychologists (ABP), HCPC or equivalent
  • 2 years or over experience delivering neurodiversity assessments (e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette\’s)
  • Knowledge of assistive technology, specialist equipment and software to support neurodiversity in the workplace.
  • Experience of workplace neurodiverse coaching
  • Experience of delivering training, group education and awareness sessions
