Role Summary: The Health Coach will support the Occupational Health Team in designing and delivering proactive health and well-being initiatives for client organisations. A particular focus of the role is to work with employees to improve their knowledge of, and confidence in, a range of wellbeing programmes, and supporting them in embedding behaviour and lifestyle changes. They will assist in managing, providing, and developing, evidence-based health and well-being services. The role of the Health Coach whilst on site, is to improve the employee experience whilst increasing their awareness of health and well-being by educating employees on topics surrounding physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being, both on a one to one, and group basis. There is regular travel required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry leading health assessments including blood pressure, fingertip blood sampling (glucose, cholesterol), body composition analysis, plus urinalysis and cardiovascular risk assessments.
  • Identify and review individual health risks associated with lifestyle choices, such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and mental health.
  • Promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle through recommended pathways.
  • Accurate data entry of results into our software with appropriate referral pathway guidance.
  • You may be required to deliver webinars/workshops.

Experience, skills and knowledge required for the role:

  • Degree level or equivalent in Exercise Physiology, Sport/Exercise Science, Public Health or Industry Qualifications in Nutrition / Fitness.
  • Experience of delivering assessments preferred (but not essential as training provided).
  • Knowledge and application of lifestyle implications on individual health risks.
  • Exceptional organisation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • IT literate with strong attention to detail and accuracy of recording data.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight is essential, with full driving licence / access to your own car.
