Salary: £34,500 - £36,500 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part time, 15 hours (2 days per week, flexible between Mon-Fri)

Role Summary

We are looking for an Occupational Health Screening Nurse to join the Optima team. This is a varied role, carrying out a mixture of immunisations, health surveillance and administering vaccines. If you want to carry out additional training and qualifications or take on a leadership and management responsibility, then we will help support you.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Delivering a range of Occupational Health services and clinics for our client, with a focus on immunisations and vaccinations.
  • Advise our clients on current immunisation services and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conducting immunisation health assessments and surveillance, relating to potential exposure to health risks at work.
  • Promoting employee health and wellbeing for our clients and across the wider business.
  • Giving health education on relevant issues, promoting a healthy lifestyle to all employees in order to maximise participation in activities at work and elsewhere.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team by sharing knowledge, supporting and challenging your peers.
  • Maintaining registration and Continuous Professional Development by meeting or exceeding standards set by the NMC.

Experience, Skills And Knowledge Required For The Role

  • Registered General Nurse with NMC registration
  • Some experience of delivering injections
  • Desirable - Experience of delivering immunisations or venepuncture
