Role Summary
As a Mental Health Advisor, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver timely, high-quality wellbeing assessments in response to occupational health referrals. You will complete comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, including risk assessment, screening, use of psychometric tools, and solution-focused intervention planning to support employee wellbeing, performance, and attendance at work. You will provide clear recommendations for case management, reasonable adjustments, or onward referral, using motivational interviewing techniques to support positive change. With consent, you will produce concise, high-quality management reports outlining fitness for work and recommendations. The role requires the ability to travel as required. Following one year of service, Optima Health will support the successful candidate in completing their Occupational Health qualification.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Mental Health Nurse Qualification and registered member of NMC
- Ability to listen effectively and demonstrate empathy within a business environment.
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain and develop working relationships.
- Competent in problem solving and decision making.
- Able to confidently convey rehabilitation decisions and to discuss these in detail with demanding clients.
- Resilience and ability to deal with setbacks constructively and work to resolution of issues including how to work at a high pace is essential.
- Good planning, negotiation, and organizational / time management skills.
- Good report writing skills and clear use of written English, which is understandable, with correct grammar which is well constructed.
- Ability to work as an independent practitioner within the Optima Health Limited
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development, accept feedback, learn, and contribute to continuous improvement in practice of self and others.
- Willingness to undertake further studies to aid their professional development.
- Must be willing to complete Security Vetting, as applicable, which will involve completion of an online questionnaire providing personal information and providing proof of identity documents as required.
- Maintains professional body register requirements.
