Role Summary
To provide a leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio‑psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence‑based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote basis: triage phone calls, supported self‑management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & workplace assessments. Although this role requires hybrid working, the post holder must be able to cover on‑site working two days a week from 1pm until 9pm, and the rest of the days at home. The post holder must hold a driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face‑to‑face basis.
- Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to musculoskeletal disorders.
- Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work‑based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
- Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
- Deliver effective evidence‑based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
- Utilise a bio‑psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge Required for the Role
- Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
- Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
- Post‑graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
- Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
- Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
- Driver licence & access to a vehicle.
