Role Summary
We are recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Technician to deliver high-quality occupational health services for a prestigious automobile client based in Chichester. This role suits an OHT who is confident working independently and as part of a wider clinical team, delivering safety-critical medicals and health surveillance across client sites. You will undertake a range of occupational health activities including audiometry, spirometry, phlebotomy, drug and alcohol screening, HAVS (Tier 1 & 2), driver and well-person medicals, and fitness-for-task assessments. You will be responsible for accurate clinical recording, escalating concerns to clinicians, maintaining clinical areas and equipment, and promoting health and wellbeing. Previous experience as an Occupational Health Technician is required. Where there are any gaps within an individual's OHT remit, training and competency sign-off will be provided.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Undertake agreed clinical activities relevant to Optima Health occupational health services such as health surveillance.
- Assist in undertaking a range of service items e.g., Driver's medicals, Well Person medicals, lung function tests, fitness tests and any other service that may be required.
- Be accountable for delivery, recording and reporting health.
- Ensure the delivery of the highest possible standards of quality assured, evidence-based practice.
- Work unsupervised at times both in the department and at other premises, delivering high standard OH services to clients allocated to their care.
- Be responsible for cleaning and stock checking clinical areas as per protocols and checklists.
- Help promote the health and wellbeing of employees.
