Our client is a leading provider of specialist training courses and qualifications, helping adults develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to build successful careers. With an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality training and outstanding customer service, the business is continuing to grow and is seeking ambitious sales professionals who want to build a long-term career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
About the Role
We are looking for an Inbound Sales Executive to join a successful and expanding sales team based in B14, Birmingham. This is primarily an inbound sales role, with warm enquiries provided, where you will advise prospective learners on training courses and qualifications, helping them choose the right programme for their career goals before guiding them through the enrolment process.
Alongside handling inbound enquiries, you will build relationships with prospective learners and corporate clients, maintain accurate CRM records and occasionally attend industry exhibitions, trade shows and customer sites to promote the company's training services. The role is office-based, with the flexibility of occasional remote working following successful completion of probation.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound telephone, email and online enquiries from prospective learners.
- Consult with customers to understand their career goals and recommend the most suitable training courses and qualifications.
- Build lasting relationships with prospective learners and business customers.
- Guide customers through the enrolment process, answering questions and overcoming objections to secure enrolments.
- Support the onboarding of new learners by ensuring all documentation and communications are completed accurately.
- Develop new business opportunities and corporate partnerships where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using the company's CRM system.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing and training teams to maximise sales opportunities.
- Represent the business at exhibitions, trade shows and other industry events.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales environment with a track record of successfully closing business.
- Ideally experienced within the education or training sector, particularly selling qualifications or training programmes.
- We also welcome applications from candidates with successful sales backgrounds in:
- Pharmaceutical sales
- Telecoms or mobile phone sales
- Internet or technology services
- Recruitment
- Any other product or service-based sales environment
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling abilities.
- Confident, personable and enthusiastic approach.
- Resilient, proactive and target-driven with a genuine desire to succeed.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Self-motivated whilst also enjoying working as part of a collaborative team.
- Looking to build a long-term career rather than simply move into another sales role.
Benefits
- £29,500 basic salary.
- Realistic on-target earnings of £50,000.
- 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Company pension following successful completion of probation.
- Private healthcare through Vitality following successful completion of probation.
- Excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.
- Opportunity to attend exhibitions, expos and networking events.
If you're an ambitious sales professional who enjoys building relationships, providing consultative advice and helping customers achieve their goals, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation that genuinely invests in its people. Whether your experience comes from education, recruitment, pharmaceuticals, telecoms or another consultative sales environment, we'd love to hear from you.
