Looking for more variety in your work, and the chance to see the machines you build come to life on site? This is a hands-on role that splits your time between the workshop and customer sites, both in the UK and overseas. You will be building and assembling bakery machinery from drawings and CAD models, installing it at customer sites, and getting stuck into testing, troubleshooting and commissioning. The business is employee-owned, which means everyone here has a genuine stake in how things run and shares in the profits too.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Assembling machinery from 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Installing, commissioning and starting up machines at customer sites
  • Carrying out site surveys, repairs and fault finding when needed
  • Supporting factory acceptance tests (FATs) and equipment handovers
  • Working with motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics and sensors
  • Rolling your sleeves up to support the wider team wherever needed

You’ll need:

  • A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Solid bench fitting, assembly and general mechanical skills
  • The ability to read technical drawings and CAD references
  • Pneumatics experience and hands-on familiarity with production equipment
  • A full UK driving licence and valid passport
  • A proactive mindset and the flexibility to switch between factory and field work
