Looking for a hands-on role where you're trusted to run the shift, fix problems, and keep production moving? This is an Injection Moulding Setter position within a well-established manufacturer producing high-quality technical plastic components.
The role involves running injection moulding machines and managing shift performance, with a focus on output, quality, and continuous improvement. The shift pattern is rotating weekly - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.
Key responsibilities:
- Setting and operating a range of injection moulding machines
- Carrying out tool changes and working with various polymers
- Monitoring scrap, downtime and production performance
- Troubleshooting faults and supporting breakdowns
- Carrying out quality checks and ensuring standards are maintained
- Supporting and training operators on shift
- Maintaining safe working practices and good housekeeping
Essential experience:
- Experience working on multiple injection moulding machines
- Experience working with a range of polymers/materials
- Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
- People management / operator support experience
- Strong communication skills at all levels
Desirable:
- Experience with dryers, water heaters or auxiliary equipment
- FLT / slinging
- Experience writing SOPs or delivering training
