Are you the kind of engineer that enjoys working in a close-knit team where everyone pulls together? I’m working with a business that genuinely sees themselves as more of a team than a hierarchy. From apprentices through to directors, everyone supports each other and works towards the same end goal.
They’re now looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join them, someone confident in their ability but also happy to collaborate, share knowledge and continue learning along the way. You’ll be involved in projects from concept right through to commissioning, taking real ownership of your work.
On the controls side, you’ll be programming PLCs from scratch and they’re open to experience across Mitsubishi, Siemens or Rockwell. Around 20% of your time will be spent on commissioning, both across the UK and occasionally overseas. The work centres around bespoke conveyor solutions, covering areas such as ingredient handling, pneumatic conveying, process integration, automated material handling and robotics, as well as upgrades and refurbishment projects. No two projects are ever quite the same.
You’ll be working closely with senior members of the team to deliver projects successfully, with plenty of opportunity to develop your own skills and have an input along the way.
On offer is a salary of up to £55,000, alongside a car allowance, paid overtime and full sick pay. There’s also a pension scheme and a genuine focus on progression, with development plans tailored to what you want from your career. The role is primarily based on site in Rochdale, with flexibility where it makes sense.
