Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more. Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Network Security Engineer who is operating as a Palo Alto SME, to come and join the team. You will join our excellent team on an initial 6-month contract with scope to extend, based in Central Europe. You’ll be acting as the Subject Matter Expert for Palo Alto SASE, with a strong focus on Prisma Access.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver end-to-end implementation of SASE / Zero Trust architectures
- Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into secure network designs
- Configure and troubleshoot:
- GlobalProtect (remote access VPN)
- Service Connections & Remote Networks
- Security policies, NAT, and routing
What You’ll Bring
- Must be fluent in English, Spanish and/or Italian
- History of delivering major Prisma Access projects
- Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies, especially Prisma Access and PAN-OS firewalls
- Solid understanding of Networking fundamentals (BGP, IPsec, routing, NAT), Security principles, zero trust, segmentation, threat prevention
- History of delivering customer-facing professional services engagements
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with authentication technologies (SAML, LDAP, MFA)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
