Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors, including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more. Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Network Tooling Engineer who is an Infoblox SME to come and join the team. You will join our team, based in the London area. This is a 6-month contract, inside IR35.
You’ll support and maintain our Financial Services clients' Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) platform across its full lifecycle, ensuring it remains secure, stable, and fit for purpose within a large-scale enterprise environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support and maintain Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) services in a live production environment
- Manage and resolve incidents (INC’s) and service requests in line with SLAs
- Process business requests, including DNS changes, DHCP updates, and IPAM allocations
- Perform routine platform maintenance, including upgrades, patching, and hotfix implementation
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance and support to colleagues and contributing to technical decision-making where required
What you’ll bring:
- Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), hands-on experience with NIOS, combined with solid understanding of DNS/DHCP fundamentals and enterprise troubleshooting.
- Previously handled INCs, RCA, and supported critical production environments.
- Strong experience managing and implementing changes via ServiceNow (SNOW)
- A history of upgrading, patching, hotfixes, and maintaining platform stability and security.
- Previous exposure to working in large-scale or regulated environments with structured processes and controls.
