Opticore IT are currently searching for a Network Design Engineer to join an enterprise Financial Services client to create the required HLD and LLD to replace the wired and wireless networks in their London office and the DC Networks in 2x Data Centre spaces. This is a Hybrid opportunity with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working as part of a project team including a technical lead consultant and project manager on the technical aspects of the design phase of the project
  • Work with stakeholders, including the existing network team and members of the wider IT team to define and agree requirements and identify potential issues
  • Support the definition and creation of the high-level design
  • Lead the creation of one or more LLDs (Office wired, wireless and/or DC) and support the generation of a ‘no-regrets’ BOM
  • Support the definition of a high-level migration plan
  • Support the client’s creation of a business case for the implementation phase
