Opticore IT is currently searching for a Cloud and Platforms Architect to join our Broadcast Media client on a contract Inside IR35, to ensure their Cloud and on-premise platforms are fit for purpose. You will join our excelling team, based in the London area two days a week.
Opticore IT is a rapidly expanding specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.
You will support the Head of Architecture, Enterprise Architects, Cloud Product Managers and platform engineering teams in creating the vision and strategy for multi-cloud adoption, supporting streaming platforms, applications and data.
- Consulting with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify business requirements and opportunities and then build solution proposals, guiding them through the full project lifecycle.
- Designing and integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Deploying and managing Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, PowerShell, GitOps, Policy as Code, ARM.
- Managing operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
- Optimising cloud infrastructure performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Platform Monitoring, User Experience Monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring, Application Resource Monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth experience in designing and integrating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in Data Centre virtualization platforms, Compute, SAN, Storage, Data Protection and Virtualization.
- A good understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, VPNs, subnets, firewalls and cloud native security, and load balancers.
- Experience/knowledge of providing high quality architecture within an Agile delivery environment.
- Knowledge and/or experience with DevOps practices, DevOps methodologies, DevOps tools, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering.
