Opticore IT is currently seeking a Network Architect to join our Broadcast Media client. The role involves ensuring their Cloud and on-premise platforms are fit for purpose. You will join our dynamic team, based in the London area, working two days a week.

Opticore IT is a rapidly expanding specialist Network Engineering and Project Management consultancy. We offer a variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications, and more.

What you'll be doing:

  • Re-implement and integrate our client's News network. This is a large, multi-year project across 10-11 News locations in the UK, starting with Bristol.
  • Report to UK Technology Architecture to ensure solutions adhere to design principles and operating models.
  • Oversee the design and high-level integration of NDI/SRT video.

What you'll bring:

  • Operating at a CCIE level.
  • Experience delivering multicast projects.
  • Strong knowledge of switching and routing protocols, with specific expertise in BGP.
  • Relevant industry experience in the Network space.
  • Security knowledge (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) and/or authentication services like Cisco ISE.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience deploying wide area networks supporting high bandwidth workflows.
