Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more. Opticore IT are currently searching for a Programme Manager with a history of delivering infrastructure projects, on time and under budget, to come and join a market leading security client. You'll join our Project and Programme Management Practice, based in the London area, on a 12-month contract within IR35 with scope to extend.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading multiple high-impact, complex, post-sales strategic initiatives with our client who is an SME in the cybersecurity space, managing executive stakeholders and global cross-functional teams
- Driving the strategy, scope definition, and execution of complex business challenges and global initiatives
- Balancing program portfolios, manage resource contention, and align delivery with broader organisational objectives
- Serve as the SME for the project methodologies, optimizing estimation techniques (effort, cost, risk), and ensuring rigorous documentation standards
- Deliver high-level status updates, narratives, and strategic alignment reports to Executive Steering Committees
- Expertly handle high-stakes escalations involving customers, internal project teams, and senior leadership
- Proactively identify system-wide risks and execute comprehensive management plans to minimise organisational exposure
- Analyse program profitability, margins, and utilisation rates to ensure commercial success
What you'll bring:
- Strong history of delivering cyber security programmes
- A "proactive owner" capable of leading through ambiguity with high autonomy and integrity
- Exceptional ability to distil complex technical/operational data into simple, powerful executive narratives
- Proven track record of working across multiple time zones and shifting priorities in a global team setting
- Expert level in PM tools (Clarizen, Smartsheet, MS Project) and Google Workplace (G Suite)
