Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Project Manager to ensure that the activities defined by the Head of Cyber Risk and Resilience are tracked to completion. You will manage the project's heartbeat—ensuring Jira is accurate, dependencies are flagged, and deadlines for critical events are met. You'll join our project and Programme Management Practice, based 2 days a week in the London area. Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.
What you’ll be doing:
- Project Governance: Maintain the master project plan and the MVC Tracker. Coordinate fortnightly status meetings and prepare concise progress reports for senior stakeholders.
- Jira Management: Own the Jira environment and Confluence reporting ensuring all tasks (e.g., contract reviews, technical tests) have clear owners, due dates, and status updates.
- Action Tracking: Proactively chase workstream technical leads and external technical teams to ensure milestones are met.
- Risk and Dependency Management: Highlight "blockers"—specifically where one task is preventing progress on another. Anticipate the risks and outline steps to manage them.
- Third-Party Coordination: Support the scheduling of reviews and testing windows with external suppliers.
- The MVC Tracker: Keeping the "Control Book" updated with relevant data supporting the project and highlighting gaps.
- Ready for World Cup: Managing the countdown of tasks required for the World Cup "Look Alive" restoration goal.
- Test Coordination: Scheduling and documenting the outcomes of desktop rehearsals and "break-glass" protocol tests.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven track record as a Project Manager in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- High proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools such as Slack and Google.
- A self-starter—comfortable chasing busy senior stakeholders for updates and holding people to deadlines.
- Able to take complex technical updates and simplify them into clear "Completed / In Progress / Blocked" status reports.
