Optical Support is a highly reputable company specialising in the engineering,design, manufacture, sales, service and rental of camera stabilisationequipment in the Motion Picture Film and Television Industry. In parallel wehave a highly skilled motion picture and stills camera lens, wireless focussystem and camera stabiliser/ Steadicam support and service department.
We are currently developing cutting edge multiple axis camera stabilisationsystems, App controls, metadata systems, power management and videodistribution products.
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our specialised team to workalongside our highly skilled engineers with the development of our current andforthcoming products. We are looking for an individual with a keen interest inelectronics design and their application into precision devices to innovate,progress and expand our product range.
The position is open to those who have recently finished studying or in theirearly career path. We can offer full training alongside our excellent engineers.
Experience:
- Deep understanding of electronics.
- Experience in component level repairs.
- Ability to carry out in depth fault finding.
- Reading circuit diagrams.
- Using measurement and calibration devices.
- Working with precision mechanical engineers.
- Hands on experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Dismantling and assembling of complex products.
- Direct customer contact.
- CAD software experience an advantage.

Responsibilities:
You will work alongside our engineering team building, developing, testing andservicing our existing products. This will mean assembling, calibrating and testing awide range of products including stabilised camera heads. Electronic faultfinding to component level as well as integrating microcontrollers, processors,drivers, sensors into our designs ready for the testing and developmentprocess. As new ideas are created we work together to get our latest designsconcepts proven prior to creating the next product line.
