Salary: £20.00 - £23.00 Per Hour, Plus Overtime & Benefits

Shift: 6PM - 4AM, Monday to Thursday

Overtime: Available at enhanced rates

CNC Turner, Setter - Role Description

This full-time, on-site role involves setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. You will ensure machining processes are optimised for accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.

CNC Turner, Setter - Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate, and manage CNC turning machines (Fanuc controls)
  • Prepare tooling, fixtures, and materials for production
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as required
  • Perform in-process quality checks to tight aerospace tolerances
  • Interpret engineering drawings with precision
  • Maintain safe working practices and adhere to production standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality output
  • Support basic machine maintenance and care

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on CNC turning experience, ideally in aerospace or other high-precision sectors
  • Proficient in setting and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Solid understanding of tooling, machining techniques, and best practices
  • Confident troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with premium materials such as Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, Nylon
  • Commitment to quality assurance and production accuracy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Apprenticeship trained or qualified by experience
