A fantastic opportunity has become available for an optometrist to provide care to patients from our flagship clinic in Glasgow City Centre. You must be at least 2 years qualified on the GOC and ideally have the Independent Prescribing qualification.

You will work as part of a multi‐disciplinary team alongside experienced eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists, and play a crucial role in the delivery of a diverse range of clinical eye care services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Pre and post‐operative consultations for our refractive and cataract surgery patients

Providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists during refractive surgery

Being part of our multi‐disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service, delivering these procedures

Providing Essential and Advanced Eye examinations for our patients

Communicate with and treat patients via telemedicine

Provide clinical support to the hub administrative team where required

In the referral triage team, you will be responsible for reviewing incoming referrals from optometrists, GPs and other primary care routes, allocating them to the most appropriate ophthalmology clinic
