What is the Graduate Accountant Training Programme?
We invite applications to join our 3 year Graduate Accountant Training Programme for intakes in August 2026. The programme gives successful applicants a rounded experience and exposure to the many different finance functions within our Head Office based in Cumbernauld. The programme also consists of formal ACCA professional accountancy training courses. Optical Express will provide full study support in partnership with BPP to allow you to gain the ACCA professional accountancy qualification over the 3 year term.
During the programme you will be exposed to all elements of accounting including:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
- On the job training
- Calculating accruals and prepayments
- Preparing balance sheet schedules
- Expense analysis
- Variance analysis
- Various ad hoc projects
What we look for:
- Recently graduated with an Honours degree in either Accountancy or another Honours degree subject and have a desire to gain a professional qualification in a dynamic, entrepreneurial business.
- You have an inquisitive mind, are keen to learn and purpose driven.
- You will be surrounded by our high quality finance team including other graduates on the same career path as you, as well as qualified accountants to support, encourage and bring out the best in you.
