A fantastic opportunity has become available for an optometrist to provide care to patients from our flagship clinic in Glasgow City Centre. You must be at least 2 years qualified on the GOC and ideally have the Independent Prescribing qualification.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists, and play a crucial role in the delivery of a diverse range of clinical eye care services to our patients. At Optical Express, no two days are the same. Your role will be varied and can include:
- Pre and post-operative consultations for our refractive and cataract surgery patients
- Providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists during refractive surgery
- Being part of our multi-disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service, delivering these procedures
- Providing Essential and Advanced Eye examinations for our patients
- Communicate with and treat patients via telemedicine
- Provide clinical support to the hub administrative team where required
- In the referral triage team, you will be responsible for reviewing incoming referrals from optometrists, GPs and other primary care routes, allocating them to the most appropriate ophthalmology clinic
