Operating in our state of the art treatment centre at our Nottingham clinic, our surgery team is crucial to our patients’ visual outcomes and to the success of Optical Express.

You will work alongside our expert Ophthalmologists as part of our refractive and cataract surgery multidisciplinary clinical teams, meaning you’ll be involved in leading edge practice, learning from some of the country’s leading specialists in clinical eye care. There will be a requirement to be flexible to work at our other clinics (all travel costs are covered).
The role of a Theatre Practitioner is varied, with responsibilities including:
- Laser Vision Correction – Scrub
- Intra‑ocular Lens (Cataract) – Scrub
- Anaesthetic assistant
- Pre‑operative assessments
- Undertake pre‑screening diagnostic duties
- Discharge patients with after‑care advice and medications
- Medicines management
Candidates must be NMC or HCPC registered with previous Theatre or scrub experience.
