About the Position: As the Marketing Manager for EMEA, you are the marketing owner of your territory, with a specialized, primary focus on Event Management and Field Marketing. You will orchestrate the strategy and execution required to drive brand awareness, target account engagement, and pipeline within our strategic focus markets: the UK, DACH, Iberia, and Italy. This is a Project Leadership role requiring a strong mix of strategic thinking, logistical mastery, and hands-on execution. You will be the standalone owner of our regional event strategy—from massive industry trade shows and user conferences to exclusive VIP customer events. Alongside event management, you will own the regional marketing roadmap, ensuring that every campaign, webinar, and targeted ABM play translates into tangible revenue growth.

Reports to: Head of Growth Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Event Management & Field Marketing
    • End-to-End Event Ownership: Act as the standalone owner for all regional events, including large-scale industry trade shows, exclusive customer roundtables/VIP events, and comprehensive user conferences.
    • Logistics & Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of every event, from initial concept, budget allocation, and venue selection to on-site execution, booth design, and post-event teardown.
    • Programming & Promotion: Drive the strategic direction for event themes, speaker selection, and pre-/post-event promotional campaigns to ensure maximum attendance and engagement.
    • Vendor Management: Negotiate with and manage external vendors, event organizers, and logistical support services to ensure flawless, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
  • Regional Campaign & Project Ownership
    • Develop and execute the broader marketing plan for EMEA focus markets, aligned with regional sales goals and global business strategy.
    • Act as the central Project Manager for all regional initiatives, defining scope, setting timelines, and ensuring high-quality delivery from all contributors (Content, Design, Operations).
  • Strategic Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
    • Utilize Demandbase to identify high-intent accounts and orchestrate 1:few campaigns, integrating these insights to drive targeted invitations and VIP experiences at our events.
    • Collaborate closely with the Market Development Specialist (MDS) on 1:1 account-specific plays, providing localized assets and surround-sound for high-value accounts.
    • Monitor intent data to trigger timely marketing and sales interventions.
  • Sales Alignment & Lead Management
    • Lead regular syncs with regional Sales Directors to ensure marketing and event activities perfectly mirror sales priorities and territory plans.
    • Partner with Account Executives (AEs) to build "warm paths" into key accounts through exclusive event invitations and field marketing plays.
    • Maintain a tight feedback loop with the MDS to optimize lead quality and ensure immediate follow-up on event-generated and campaign-generated engagement.
  • Reporting & Performance
    • Analyze the ROI of all regional activities—especially trade shows and customer events—and pivot strategy based on data-driven insights.
    • Proactively report on campaign planning, event status, and pipeline performance to the Head of Growth Marketing and local market leads.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in B2B Marketing, with a heavily demonstrated track record in Event Management (trade shows, user conferences, and customer events). Experience in Enterprise SaaS or a complex, multi-stakeholder industry (e.g., GovTech, Infrastructure, Transportation) is highly preferred.
  • Project & Logistics Master: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted events and campaigns involving multiple internal and external parties. You are comfortable being the "driver" who holds others accountable and thrives in high-pressure event environments.
  • The "Revenue" Mindset: You understand that events are ultimately about pipeline. You think in terms of Marketing Qualified Accounts (MQAs) and ROI, not just badge scans and booth traffic.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with ABM platforms, Salesforce, Hubspot and Event Automation tools.
  • Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the B2B landscape in at least two of our focus markets (UK, DACH, Iberia, or Italy).
  • Strategic Autonomy: You are a self-starter who can take a high-level goal, conceptualize an event or campaign around it, and turn it into a concrete, executable plan.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: You will be the primary driver of brand presence and pipeline growth in our most important international markets through high-visibility events.
  • Modern Stack: Work with the latest ABM and marketing tools in a data-rich environment to make your events and campaigns smarter.
  • Autonomy: Enjoy the trust and freedom to run the event strategy as a standalone responsibility, shaping how Optibus interacts with its audience face-to-face.
