Build and Wiring Technician in Abingdon

This is a hands-on entry-level role within our Build team. You'll help to assemble and wire electrical components based on assembly models and engineering instructions. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Reporting to the Build Supervisor, responsibilities for this role include: Assembling bespoke machinery from start to finish based on schematic and layout drawings. Fitting, wiring, and building laser precision machinery. Installing electrical components according to schematics. Performing electrical wiring based on schematics and drawings. Utilizing hand tools, measuring equipment, hand drills, and pillar drills. Working efficiently to meet strict deadlines. Collaborating with other departments to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Additionally, the role may involve other duties and responsibilities as appropriate for the position. Role Requirements: Aptitude to read schematics, electrical diagrams and technical drawings Strong attention to detail, able to work accurately in a high-precision environment Aptitude to use hand and power tools such as wire strippers/crimpers, spanners and power drills etc. Module wiring including soldered connectors Good time management Quality assurance identifying faulting finding and repairs Education and/or Experience: Aptitude towards electrical and mechanical engineering demonstrated through related GCSE’s, BTEC or A levels. Experience in an engineering environment building electro-mechanical equipment desirable but not essential as full training will be provided Experience in installation of electrical control cabinets, machine assembly and working with 3D models and electrical drawings desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
