Optegra has an exciting new opportunity for a Staff Grade Doctor with experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases to join our amazing and supportive team in our Whiteley Eye Hospital. This is a part time role, 2 days per week, 20h/pw and a great opportunity to join a growing and developing business and benefit from our fantastic fully funded training and development programs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Grade Doctor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing both clinical and surgical assistance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual field assessments, optical coherence tomography (OCT), volk, CCT and gonioscopy.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from a recognized university.
  • Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases and ability to work independently.
  • UK NHS Glaucoma clinic experience.
