Optegra has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Grade Doctor with ophthalmology experience, particularly in glaucoma management, to join our team at Maidstone Eye Hospital. This part-time role involves 2 days per week, 20 hours, offering a great chance to grow within our expanding business with funded training and development programs.

The Role
We seek a motivated Staff Grade Doctor to support our NHS glaucoma service, providing clinical and surgical assistance with a focus on patient care and glaucoma management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage glaucoma and ocular conditions
- Perform diagnostic tests (visual fields, OCT, Volk, CCT, gonioscopy)
- Manage glaucoma referrals
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Participate in team meetings and service development
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Educate patients and families about glaucoma
What You’ll Need:
- Medical degree from a recognized university
- Valid GMC registration and UK practice license
- Experience in ophthalmology, especially glaucoma management
- UK NHS glaucoma clinic experience
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
