Optegra has an exciting new opportunity for a Staff Grade Doctor with experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases to join our amazing and supportive team in our Newcastle Eye Hospital. This is a part time role, 2 days per week, 20h/pw and a great opportunity to join a growing and developing business and benefit from our fantastic fully funded training and development programs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Grade Doctor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing both clinical and surgical assistance. Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual field assessments, optical coherence tomography (OCT), volk, CCT and gonioscopy.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Medical degree from a recognized university.
- Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases and ability to work independently.
- UK NHS Glaucoma clinic experience.
