Role
Support Worker – Tithe Barn SL6
Full-Time 37hpw & Part-Time 22.5hpw – from £12.34 per hour
Responsibilities
- Support our customers in their day-to-day lives and could include assistance with personal care, managing medication, shopping and meal preparation, and supporting with emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Provide support with life skills such as improving confidence, managing finances and being part of the local community to maintain important relationships.
- Working nights will include assisting with evening routine and managing medication, as well as supporting with emotional and physical wellbeing. The role will also include domestic duties and ensuring the safety and security of the site throughout the night.
We are recruiting experienced support workers to the following roles;
- Permanent – 22.5-37hpw (days – early and late shifts, incl alternate weekends)
- Fixed-Term Contract – 19hpw (nights)
Qualifications
- At this time, we are only able to consider applications from people who have experience of behaviours that challenge in either a learning disability or mental health care setting.
- Previous knowledge or training of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) practices would be beneficial, though PROACT-SCIPr training will be provided for successful candidates in addition to our full induction training.
- A full UK driving licence is required for this role as responsibilities include taking customers out into the community for activities and appointments – the service has both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
