Senior Activity Support Organiser – Learning Disabilities Day Service

Our Community Lives Day Services at Boyn Grove (Maidenhead) and Oakbridge (Windsor) provide stimulating activities and opportunities for our customers to mix with other people, visit different places, learn new things and improve their well-being. With our services designed to meet different needs and interests every day, we support people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with physical disabilities to achieve their personal goals and live life to the fullest!

We are recruiting for a Senior Activity Support Organiser to work full-time – the service operates Monday to Friday only, from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

As a Senior ASO, you will support the Service Manager and Coordinators in the day-to-day operations of the day services. Duties will include administration tasks, conducting observations and supervisions, and addressing any concerns raised by colleagues or people we support. You'll support in delivering activity sessions and supporting people, leading by example to provide high quality, person-centred activities and support to people who attend the day service. The services are fast-paced; flexibility and a proactive approach are essential for this role as you may be required to take on additional responsibilities and cover shifts in absence of staff.

The role will also involve care responsibilities, which may include administering medication, supporting with personal care and assisting with mobility.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker, Care Assistant or Activity Coordinator to take the next step in your career and put your skills to the test. Working alongside an established team of Senior Activity Support Organisers, you'll oversee and support our ASOs to deliver activities that meet the interests and needs of people who attend the day service. A creative flair and some interesting hobbies will certainly be helpful in this role!

A manual UK driving licence is required for this role as you will be driving our service vehicles to take customers for activities in the community.
