We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensing Support Officer to join our Licensing team!

This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £26,895 - £30,132 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Licensing Support Officer to join our Licensing team.

The role:

Reporting to the Licensing Team Leader, your role will involve:

  • The processing of applications for hackney carriage and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators, involving face to face appointments with the applicants.
  • Working with licensing officers to determine whether applicants are “fit and proper” to hold a licence.
  • Taking payments and dealing with all of the required paperwork and online administration.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in administration work, including finance and payments.
  • Experience of dealing directly, face to face, with customers and members of the public.
  • Experience of working in a large organisation such as a local authority.
  • IT literacy with wide experience of common applications.
  • Previous experience in working in licensing would be desirable.
