This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Developer Obligations Officer to join our Infrastructure team.
The role: This role reports to the Infrastructure Planning Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and develop a specialist team. You will play an important role in delivering key infrastructure planning functions, including the implementation of the Building Safety Levy (BSL) and ensuring that funding for infrastructure is secured in a timely way to support growth.
Your role will involve:
- Oversee the collection and monitoring of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), Section 106 developer obligations and the Building Safety Levy.
- Provide key reports on infrastructure funding including projected income and expenditure.
- Collaborate across the Council and with infrastructure providers to ensure developer obligations deliver infrastructure that mitigates the impact of development on local communities.
What we are looking for:
- Educated to level 6 qualification, for example, Degree, Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Town and Country Planning or related discipline.
- Experience in managing developer obligations (Section 106 agreements and CIL processes) within a planning or an infrastructure related environment.
- Experience in raising invoices and purchase orders and preparing complex reports.
- Experience with legal and finance documents / spreadsheets, financial calculations and project monitoring.
- A proactive, enthusiastic self-starter who has excellent communication skills and works well independently and as part of a team.
