Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Owns the commercial health of the below areas by monitoring financial performance, market trends, key metrics, and by driving actions to deliver profitable growth:
- Product Micro Optic, OVD’s & NXT Security Features
- Government Solutions (Revenue & ID)
- Brand & Licensing
- Leads market discovery, competitive analysis, and customer validation to define current and future product and service requirements.
- Shapes and executes the strategic product roadmap through ongoing engagement with customers, sales, engineering, and other internal stakeholders.
- Defines and prioritizes customer segments, buyer/user personas, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies to accelerate revenue growth.
- Drives full product lifecycle management—from concept and MVP/Beta testing through development, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
- Serves as the product evangelist to marketing, sales, services, and leadership, ensuring alignment around product vision, value proposition, and best practices.
- Conducts win/loss analysis and competitive assessments, creating tools such as battle cards to strengthen commercial execution.
- Leads cross-functional planning sessions and stakeholder feedback loops to ensure alignment and execution across functions.
- Collaborates with Engineering by defining and prioritizing product requirements and validating delivery against intended outcomes in both software and physical product roadmaps.
- Supports product launches with clear deployment plans, KPIs, internal enablement, and ongoing post-launch optimization.
- Mentors and develops product team members and provides leadership coverage for the VP Technology Innovation & Product as needed.
