Responsibilities include partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Provide support and guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive issues arise; advise and guide managers in the progressive disciplinary process; engage in reasonable accommodation decisions, investigation of employee complaints, and oversight of employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
Utilize the HRMS system to manage administrative tasks and recommend improvement to transactional HR processes and opportunities for deploying technology for efficiency and effectiveness; ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR data.
Lead the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance improvement plans (PIPs) and employee development programs.
Monitor and drive participation in annual processes such as performance appraisals, compensation and rewards, and headcount planning.
Implement employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship.
Work with HR colleagues to identify ways to further share resources, create efficiencies and develop synergies in the HR function.
Assist with the creation of learning and development programs and initiatives.
Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance; partner with leadership to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Administer the attendance/absence management programs in a consistent and fair manner.
Manage grievance and progressive disciplinary procedures as per the union or non-union environment processes or agreements.
Develop and manage local and global employee engagement strategies and schemes (e.g., bike to work, childcare vouchers, service award programs); partner with Learning and Development to implement programs that improve employee engagement and retention.
Assist with development of employee succession plans, apprenticeship programs and employee goals and development planning for improved employee retention through promotional opportunities and skills development.
Ensure appropriate employee occupational health and safety standards are met by partnering with the local HSSE staff.
Maintain and retain accurate employee records per organizational and legislative requirements.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Experienced HR Professional who has ideally worked in a matrix and global organisation. Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience; proven experience as an HR Generalist/HR Operations. Experience with grievances and ER related issues.
Education
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required (or relevant experience).
NICE TO HAVE
Manufacturing experience. CIPD Qualification (UK) or similar Professional HR Certification highly desired.
