The Role

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Strategic Growth Director to lead our regional growth strategy and unlock new opportunities across the highways, transportation and infrastructure sectors.

This is more than a sales role!

What you will be doing:

As Strategic Growth Director, you'll work closely with the Regional Director and Senior Leadership Team to develop and deliver ambitious sales strategies, helping to grow both new and existing client relationships.

  • Develop and deliver regional sales growth strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Identify, shape and secure new business opportunities across local government and private developer markets.
  • Build and nurture senior-level client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through industry expertise and commercial insight.
  • Lead strategic client meetings, presentations, proposals and negotiations.
  • Create and manage a healthy sales pipeline capable of achieving ambitious annual growth targets.
  • Lead and support high-quality bid, tender and proposal submissions.
  • Represent Project Centre at conferences, networking events and industry forums.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and produce insightful sales reports and forecasts.
  • Support marketing initiatives, thought leadership and campaign activity to raise Project Centre's profile.

What we are looking for:

  • We're looking for an experienced Business Development professional who combines commercial acumen with a consultative approach.
  • Proven success in strategic business development within engineering, highways, transportation or professional consultancy.
  • A strong understanding of local government and private developer markets.
  • A track record of winning and growing major consultancy or engineering contracts.
  • Experience leading bids, tenders and commercial proposals.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify emerging market opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial awareness.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
